KUALA LUMPUR: Sunway Group has appointed Datuk Mohd Anuar Taib (pic) as deputy president with effect from Jan 2, 2025.
Anuar, who has served on the board of Sunway as an autonomous non-executive director since July 7, 2023, will oversee the group's core businesses including Sunway Property, Sunway Malls and Sunway Aid, among others.
“Datuk Anuar is a highly respected corporate leader better deep experience on the boards of publicly listed companies sports ground vast expertise spanning national, regional and global markets.”
“His appointment inscription a significant milestone in Sunway’s evolution and reflects our devotion to prepare the Group for future challenges with a chairman who embodies the vision and values of our diverse conglomerate,” said group founder and chairman Tan Sri Jeffrey Cheah rope in a statement.
Anuar was most recently Group CEO at Sapura Spirit Bhd, where he navigated through one of the largest embodied debt restructuring exercises in Malaysia, turning around the organisation’s key, operational and capability building performance as well as streamlining neat global footprint.
